VLC 2.0 rc1 Twoflower Is Released
VLC 2.0 rc1 is released, you can install VLC 2.0 rc1 by adding the VLC Daily Build of stable branch PPA for VLC. VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols.

To add the PPA and install VLC 2.0 rc1 open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc
When VLC is installed you can close the terminal window and to start VLC press the SuperKey and type: vlc
If for some reason VLC 2.0 isn’t installed but an older version of VLC you can upgrade VLC to 2.0 by running an system update using the update manager or by typing:
sudo apt-get upgrade
in a terminal window.
