How To Install The TOR Browser Using PPA On Ubuntu 16.10
The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked.

You can install the TOR browser using the PPA from the “WebUpd8” team. To add the PPA and install the TOR browser open a termnial windw (press CTRL+ALT+T) and copy+paste the following lines.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/tor-browser
sudo apt update && sudo apt install tor-browser
When the TOR browser is installed you can close the terminal window and to start the browser press the SuperKey (the key with the windows logo) and type: tor browser
