Install PlayDeb On Ubuntu 11.04 “Natty Narwhal”

PlayDeb is an unofficial project with the mission to provide the latest open source and freeware games for the current Ubuntu Linux release, in an easy to install manner.




To install PlayDeb beta 2 on Ubuntu 11.04 go to the PlayDeb install page and click on the Install PlayDeb package link. When downloaded open your Downloads folder and double click on the playdeb_0.3-1~getdeb1_all.deb file and install it using the Ubuntu Software Center. When the package is installed you can close the Ubuntu Software Center.

To install a game just click on the Install this now button under the game info and it will be downloaded and installed by the Ubuntu Software Center. When a game is being installed you also have the option to add a launcher to the Unity launcher panel. To add a launcher for a game click on the Add to Launcher button while the game is being installed.
