Install Orta Theme On Ubuntu 10.10 “Maverick Meerkat”

Orta theme is a GTK2 theme made by SkiesOfAzel and is a theme that comes with emerald and Xfwm4 decorations. Orta is a nice and bright theme that has a manager function that allows you to make some small changes to your user interface and the way your menu/panel looks. I added an installation video showing you how to install and enable the Orta GTK2 theme but i didn’t install the emerald and Xfwm4 decorations because i don’t use them :)

To install the Orta GTK2 theme open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal and copy+paste the following lines:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nikount/orta-desktop
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install orta-theme

To install the emerald decorators :

sudo apt-get install orta-emerald-decorators

To install the Xfwm4 decorators :

sudo apt-get install orta-xfwm4-decorators

You can find the Orta Settings Manager under System -> Preferences -> Orta Setting Manager
