Install Guide: Y PPA Manager On Ubuntu 11.10

Y PPA Manager is a handy tool to install, remove/purge or search for a ppa on your sytem and you can do a search in all Launchpad PPAs. You can install Y PPA Manager using the webupd8 team ppa.




First you need to add the ppa to do this open a terminal window press SuperKey and type: terminal) and copy+paste the following line:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/y-ppa-manager

Before installing Y PPA Manager you need to update the sources list. To update the list and install y ppa manager copy+paste the following line:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y y-ppa-manager

To start Y PPA Manager press the SuperKey and type: y ppa manager

    bash: syntax error near unexpected token `;&’

    For your information:

    I copied and pasted from your instructions above and got the syntax error.
    to solve the problem I deleted one of the &amp and the download worked.

      Thanks for the notice, a changed the &amp for && . this happens when switching from view to html/php mode when making an article.
