Download and install PlayDeb Beta 2 Ubuntu 9.10 “Karmic Koala”

PlayDeb is an unofficial project with the mission to provide the latest open source and freeware games for the current Ubuntu Linux release, in an easy to install manner.

The PlayDeb repository extends the official repositories by providing latest versions and new games. Unlike the official packages, PlayDeb packages do not have a predefined release schedule – new game versions are provided as they become available from their authors. Read more HERE – PlayDeb Homepage HERE.
To install:

Download and Install the playdeb package.

Or configure the repository manually:

Go to System->Administration->Software Sources and select the Other Software tab then click the  Add button and copy+paste the following line:

deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu karmic-getdeb games

Add the repository GPG key, open a Terminal window (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and type:

wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -

When installed search for a game HERE and when you found a game you like just click the Install this now button. The selected game will be installed and can be found under Applications->Games.
